Has anyone spoken to a live representative regarding 2011 tax refund delays?

Question

I filed my taxes on the 6th through H&R Block and the IRS accepted them on the 17th. According to H&R, I should have received my refund by DD today the 25th. When I try to call the IRS hotline or look up Where's My Refund it shows that due to a processing delay my date has been changed to February 7th.

I was hoping it was a glitch as I had something similar happen a few years prior, but when I woke up this morning, there is no refund. :(

I can not get a live person as I'm at work and can't wait for one.

Has anyone else had this issue and gotten some answers?

I had the same message on WMR this morning, I called this morning and the woman I spoke with informed me that my return was finished processing and she gave me my dd date of Jan. 30, 2012

I spoke to a man this morning at 7am. Same old thing no def. date have to wait three weeks. I filed mine the same day as my sister and I have 2/7 and she has 1/31. guy on the phone says I have no def. date to dd but irs wmr says 2/7 so sometime before than. Also said mostly everyone that filed early gets dd on fridays so more than likely if ure 1/31 u'll get it 1/27 and 2/7 will get it 2/3(hope not).

I called the IRS about mine this morning.... They told me there was a glitch in the system the IRS website says I should see my refund by the 31st, it was accepted by the IRS on the 17th... What they told me today was there was a unexpected glitch in the system and its not updating properly, my refund is scheduled to be deposited on the 1st... more waiting!

I did my taxes through TurboTax, it says I should have my refund, January 25, 2012 but IRS also says, February 1, 2012. I think IRS just tells you the later date just to give extra time. But if anyone gets it today, they wont start processing refunds until 11:00 am CT, save yourselves from checking anytime earlier than this. Hope you all recieve your refunds today :) I need mine now because Im excited about going baby shopping for my little one. 6.17.12

I just got off the phone with irs and i was told they are under the impression that it is not a fault on their end but rather a glitch in the treasurey and to check back thruout the day that the refund could still come in today.

I have no clue what is going on with the IRS so far this year. Many people have different information and when you call, the reps are not really being helpful. On the WMR mine says 01/31 still and I have been on another website where many of them are still showing 01/31 on the WMR. So...its hard to say at this point. I hope and pray Friday it will be there.

I have the same feb7th dd date also. I honestly dont think that u will receive it today. From the info tht i came across the earliest is ths Friday. But good luck. I will update if i find any new info

MY BRANCH MANAGER AND I BOTH FILED OUR TAXES AT SAME COMPANY AND BOTH OUR RETURNS WERE SENT IN SAME DAY ON JAN. 17TH. SHE GOT A CALL AT WORK YESTERDAY(JAN. 24TH) FROM THE TAX OFFICE WITH THE GOOD NEWS HER CHECK WAS IN, ALTHOUGH WE WERE BOTH TOLD OUR CHECKS WOULD BE BACK BY FRIDAY, JAN 27TH. AFTER I VERY HESITANTLY CALL TAX PREPARER EARLIER TODAY, JUST (WISHFUL THINKING)AND HOPING MY CHECK WAWASHERE, I WAS TOLD NO. AND AFTER I ASKED MY TAX PREPARER WOULD IT DEFINITELY BE IN BY FRI. JAN 27TH THE INITIAL DATE SHE GAVE ME) SHE REPLIED IT'S NOT DEFINITE NOW CONSIDERING A MEMO HER TAX OFFICE RECEIVED TODAY IN REFERENCE TO A POSSIBLE DELAY IN CHECKS UP TO A WEEK DUE TO A GLITCH IN IRS SYSTEM. SHE READ THE MEMO TO ME WORD FOR WORD AND IT DID COMFORT ME JUST A TAD BIT WHEN THE MEMO SAID "ALTHOUGH THE GLITCH MAY DELAY CHECKS UP TO A WEEK, THOSE WHO EXPECTED CHECKS BY JAN. 27TH SHOULD HAVE THEM NO LATER THAN TUES. JAN. 31ST. SO I HOPE AND PRAY I GET IT(AND ALL OF YOU ALL AS WELL) BY FRIDAY THE 27TH OR AT LEAST BY THIS NEW 31ST DATE. ISN'T THE IRS JUST WONDERFUL...LOL
