Has anyones return that was in the Error Resolution Department been released yet?

Question

We did our taxes on 1/16 and accepted on 1/18. However, I am always a little nervous about when we will receive our money so I called the IRS 3 times yesterday... Twice I got gentlemen telling me my return was in the error resolution area and had to be fixed and didnt know how long it could take to process.. When I called back the 3rd time not clear on why any of it was happening and lady told me it was a simple error and could be fixed there... Has anyone ever had an internal error and if so, how far behind did it place your return.. I realize I am clearly not getting my refund this Friday as anticitpated, but hoping for Next Friday and some type of update on the WMR website so I can be sure...

My tax filing has been in Error Resolution all week, they wont give me a reason, but did state as of noon today no letters have been issued. So I did the search on the offset automated system and found out no offsets so thats not why its there. I filed 15th accepted 18th, one guy today said it was in processing and not in the Errors department but then I called back cause I wanted confirmation, and the nasty lady who reemed me out for calling daily said it is in the Errors department, the only thing I was told is if I hear nothing by the 8th of Feb, to call then but they wont do anything til it reaches the 3 week processing mark first......so wish I had a majic wand, they are not helpful all they tell you is that its there and where it is, why cant they tell me that they have 7 days in that department to resolve or send a letter, but no....they get mad at you instead...welp if they were broke, not working and a parent of two kids with nothing to pay bills, food with then they would understand...

Please anyone in errors and resolution please keep us posted on when you filed, when it came out of the errors department, and when you got your refund or if you got a letter and if you did what was the error???

I was told the same thing last night 1/26 b4 they closed. She said it was a small rectifiable error that had been taken care of. Then she said if I did not get a dd or letter by 2/5 to call back. Could you keep me updated with your refund & I will be sure to do the same. I will check again in a few hours when I get up & make sure I post my status here since were on the same boat. Still hoping that regardless to what were being told, we will all be relieved and happy on Fri 1/29.

I was told the exact same thing as well yesterday..I will call later today to see if there is any change. This morning my refund date changed from 2/2 to 2/9. Keep me posted as well!



Just updated:

Calle the IRS, the lady was very helpful and told me that I had one error on my return, may be due to the making work pay credit, but it was being fixed by the IRS and there was nothing more for me to do. I will receive my refund on February 9th. I hope this reassures you, it did me!

I was told the same thing, I filed january 15, accepted by IRS on January 17. I called 26th & was told still being processed, called today & told error. She didn't know the error, but said they would fix it. She never gave me a dd date, though & said she won't know that until it's out of error & done processing. I was hoping to have my dd tomorrow jan. 29, but I guess that is not going to happen. I will update any new information I get, I am calling back later this evening. Please update your info too. It gives me a little peace of mind hearing your guys stories & situations.

I had my tax return sent back to me because I forgot to sign it. Now it's had this status for about 3 weeks and no updates. Anyone have a number to call to talk to someone. I've only found automated numbers.
