Tax return mail not reached IRS?

I did my file my tax retrun on April 12 through USPS certified mail and there is no sign USPS has delivered to IRS in USPS online mail tracking. USPS customer service has been telling IRS will pick up the mails in batches based on their workload from post office. Does anyone have this experience? How long will it usually takes to show up in USPS tracking that IRS received it?

Thanks.

i'd say that's stable. If the message would have been a screw up, the subsequent batch replace that WMR did on Wednesday would've arise with some blunders code or postpone message. i'm no longer useful this is going to likely be in at the instant's mail, in many cases they circulate out in the night, so i'd think of the next day would be a secure guess, or Saturday, yet i'm hoping which you're pleasantly shocked at the instant. ;)

This is why it's usually good to spend money on the green postcard. It's harder to overlook when they are scanning in millions of tax returns.

Call the IRS and ask if your return is in the system (though mine took 3 weeks in February to be keyed into the computer).

You should contact the IRS directly to see what to do next:
